Who doesn’t like a coffee? A catch up with friends, or a quick cuppa grabbed at the station on the way to work. But are we in danger of putting our health at risk by the extra calories we are inadvertently consuming?
The perfect business opportunity.
Whenever, you enter a coffee shop you inevitably have to queue. Here is the perfect opportunity for businesses to market their wares. You are stopped in the queue, directly opposite the tantalising cakes, biscuits and sandwiches. Often you may not be hungry, but after the smell of the teacakes toasting, the sight of chocolate brownies and the server asking if you would like to order anything else? By the time you get to order your coffee, your willpower has gone completely. You order a croissant, or cake with your coffee and before you know it your best intentions are out the window.
Even if you don’t have a cake but have a hazelnut syrup etc in the coffee and most people buy a regular(medium size) drink, then the calories mount up.
